International Students Program

Intensive English for Academic Purposes (EAP) Program

The Kendall Campus ESL/Foreign Languages Department offers an intensive English as a Second Language program for students during fall and spring semesters. This program consists of Intermediate Intensive (levels 3 & 4) and Advanced Intensive (levels 5 & 6) in both major terms, Fall and Spring. Students beginning in Fall term are able to complete the ESL program (four levels /20 courses) in 32 weeks. Classes are held Monday through Friday.

The Intensive Program is recommended only for students who have a 3.0 grade point average or higher, and who do not work or have family commitments that can interfere with attendance and/or punctuality.  Because of the time requirements of this program (45 hours per week), it is strongly recommended that students NOT work (not even part-time) while studying in this program.

ATTENDANCE!  Students in the Intensive ESL Program will be dropped from the class if they do not attend the first two days of class.  If you are admitted to the Advanced Intensive ESL program, be sure to attend regularly.  Students must comply with attendance requirements as stated on the faculty syllabus.
