We wish to acknowledge the support from a number of people. Support has come in the form of work, use of material, and moral encouragement.

 We wish to thank:

Dir. Pat Siemen, director of the Environmental Ethics Institute (EEI), for her direction and support with materials, encouragement. The EEI has been a major force for Greening the Curriculum.

Dir. Joyce DiBenedetto-Colton, director of the Animal Ethics Study Center, for her help with resources and on animal ethics issues, which did not make it formally into this curriculum but will.

Prof. Chris Migliaccio for his use of the CD South Florida’s Natural Environment, which he created.

Prof. Gregory Ballinger for his pine rockland materials and his willingness to share his walk and talk with us.

The Learning Innovations Team for support and encouragement to tackle this project which is only beginning to unfold.

The Students of our classes who have been willing to try our ideas with minimum skepticism and whose feedback has been invaluable in shaping these lessons. They are the future and the reason we are working on these issues. They are the ones who will carry the torch.

Our Wives who tolerate our craziness for teaching and working beyond hours.

Prof. Judith Garcia for encouraging us to continue when we thought we couldn’t and for helping us with the web page and other technical aspects. She is always supportive and willing to promote her faculty’s work.
