How can you form a question when the only verb is be?

To form a question, the subject and the verb switch places.

Note: Do not forget to use the Question Mark (?) for questions.

I am Am I...?   We are Are we...?
You are Are you...? You are Are you...?
He is Is he...?  
She is Is she...? They are Are they...?
It is Is it...?  

Be - Present Tense Questions 

How can you write short negative and affirmative answers?
Short answers to Questions can be AFFIRMATIVE ==>YES.
Short answers to Questions can be NEGATIVE ==> NO.

Contractions can be used for NEGATIVE (NO) short answers.
Contractions are never used in AFFIRMATIVE (YES) short answers.
